Jonestown book receives Northern California Book Award Nomination

 And Then They Were Gone, a book about Jonestown teenagers, receives a Northern California Book Award nomination.

The award  (in the general non-fiction category) recognizes the best works by a Northern California author published in 2018.  

 The event draws an enthusiastic audience to celebrate northern California books and writers.  During the ceremony, organizers will acknowledge each nominated book,  and ask the winner in each category to speak briefly and read for three minutes. You should come prepared to read for three minutes if they announce you as the winner.

The book is available for sale, at the reception, by Friends of the San Francisco Library’s Readers Bookstore. There will be tables for the book signing.

 The Northern California Book Awards sponsors include Northern California Book Reviewers, Poetry Flash, Women’s National Book Association-San Francisco Chapter, Mechanics’ Institute Library, PEN West, the Friends of the San Francisco Public Library, and San Francisco Public Library.
